Why do I have to register?

A registration has many advantages and is necessary to be able use Gruppe to the full extent and gain access to your “My Gruppe” account section. When you register, you can post your own ads and save ads to your favourites list. We also need your email address to keep you updated about your ads and inform you of messages from other users.


How can I create an account?

Registration is free. To create an account, click on “Registration” at the top-right corner of the page. Then click “Register”. You can choose to register with your email address, your Facebook, Twitter or Intagram account. If you register with your email address, you will need to confirm it and create a username and password.


I have registered with my email address, but I can’t log in.

To log in, you must first confirm your email address. An email notification will be sent to you after registration. Click on the button in the email to confirm your registration. You will then have to choose your username and password, and agree to our terms of use. After your registration is complete, you can log in with your chosen password. 

If you have not received a confirmation email, please check your spam folder. If you have received an email, but the confirmation button does not work, please copy the full link from the URL bar (at the top of your browser) and paste it into a new window. 

If the email is also not in your spam folder, or copying the link also does not work, please contact our Customer Support.


What can I do if I forget my password?

To reset your password, click on “Log in” . Then click on “Forgot Password” below the password field and enter your email address or username. An email notification will be sent you with a link that allows you to enter a new password. In the future, you can use your new password to log in.


How can I change my password?

Please log into your account by clicking on “Log In” at the top right corner of the page. Then hover over “Settings” at the top bar and select “Change Password”. Please type in your old password, followed by your new one.



Can I change the email address or username linked to my account?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change your email address or username after registration.


How can I delete my account?

Click on “Log In”. Then enter your email address or username and your password in the “Log in” fields. Hover over “Settings”, select “Delete account”, and follow the on-screen instructions. 

Please note that after your account has been deleted you won’t be able to use the same email address to re-register with us again. The account cannot be restored, not even by our customer support team.


How can I find out if there are newly posted ads related to my searches on Gruppe?

On Gruppe, you can save your searches by indicating your search specifications, typing in your email address, and selecting the email frequency at the bottom of the same page. 
You will then receive updates about new ads related to this search via email.



What are my Favourite Ads and how can I use it?

Favourite Ads is a free service that allows you to save ads that you find interesting and review them later on. To add any ads to your favourites list, click on the grey star icon. If you click twice on the star/button, it removes the ad from the list. You will see the same star icon with a number next to it at the top right corner of the website, this indicates the number of postings that you have added to your favourites lists. To see the complete list of your favourite ads, click on the star.




Apps and mobile site


Is there a Gruppe App?

Yes. The Gruppe Apps version is available for iPhone and Android smartphone users, free of charge.
All other internet-capable smartphones can use the Gruppe mobile site


How can I download the Gruppe App?

The Gruppe Apps is available on both the App Store and the Google Play Store.


I’m having problems installing the Gruppe App.

The required operating systems for the Gruppe Apps are: 
at least iOS 8.0 for iPhone, at least 4.4 for Android. 
Please ensure that the device is upgraded to the above specifications or higher.


How do I post an ad on the Gruppe App/mobile site?

Posting classified ads on Gruppe is also free and easy via the app or mobile page. Just click “Post ad” and then follow the next short steps. It’s important to give your ad a convincing title and a detailed description. You can also add up to 20 images to your ad. If you don’t have a Gruppe account yet, don’t forget to confirm your email address so that your ad can be brought online.


Data protection and security


My phone number is on an ad on Gruppe without my consent. What can I do?

If your phone number is on Gruppe without your consent, please contact us directly through the contact form. We will take the ad down immediately if you provide a scanned proof of ownership of the phone number (e.g. phone bill). 

Please include the ad ID or a link of the ad. If you feel like you are being harassed, please contact your local police and ask them to get in touch with us. We will be able to provide the police with further information about the ad. Please make sure that the police knows the ad ID or link to the ad and mentions it in their correspondence so that we can locate the ad.



What recourse do I have if my transaction has gone bad or if I have been defrauded?

If you believe you have come in contact with someone that shows fraudulent behavior, please report them via our Contact form and we will delete the ad. 

Unfortunately, our possibilities are limited, which is why we advise you to consider reporting any case of fraud to the police or appropriate authority. 


How can I report an ad to the Gruppe team that I suspect of fraud?

If you discover an ad that, in your opinion, does not adhere to our Terms of Use, please report it to us via the “Feedback” button on the bottom of the ad page. Please include the Ad ID in your message, so that we can take immediate action. The Ad ID is a nine to ten digit number found below an ad’s description. We appreciate your help!



Does Gruppe offer mediation between buyers and sellers?

Gruppe is a global platform for classifieds. All transactions and details are completed between the two parties. At no time does Gruppe get involved in these details or the transaction itself. We do not offer verification of the advertiser. If you have any questions about an offer or any problems with a transaction, please contact the other party directly. 

If you think you have been defrauded, contact your local police.
